Elyse Spalding worked for 20 years in the media industry before founding Spalding Associates in 1996. Ms. Spalding began her career with Grey Advertising in media planning and, since 1982, in advertising sales for several media enterprises including MTV Networks, Tribune Broadcasting, The Food Network, and Cable Networks Inc./3M.

She began Spalding Associates in response to the growing need for sales and media management executives for the new on-line media, both for new firms as well as the more traditional media vendors as they diversify and fractionalize their media offerings.

A graduate of William Smith College, Elyse’s broad media industry experience supports clients throughout the rapidly changing and dynamic media business.

Michael Spalding brings 20+ years of diverse sales and leadership experience to the firm.

Mr. Spalding has sold and managed the sales process for a variety of successful advertising sales, content distribution and media related technology platforms many of which are the leaders in their categories.

His background includes a broad spectrum of media-related competencies including technology service solutions, advertising and sales management in broadcast, cable and streaming media.

He has employed his skills for for a variety of firms including Columbia Picture/TV, MTV Networks, 3M, broadcast.com and The RealNames Corporation.

Laurie Brickman
Laurie Brickman
Laurie Brickman has built a 20-year career in media and holds a Masters of Science in Education from Hunter College.

Laurie’s diverse background in print, spot cable, and national cable sales provides her with the right experience to find our clients talented and uniquely qualified salespeople.

Ms Brickman has extensive business development and sales management experience. She began her career in print. Sensing the opportunities in the burgeoning cable business, she joined and assisted with the initial start-up of Eastman Radio & Cable where she was one of the initial sales executives for this innovative rep firm. Subsequently she spent 15 years in a variety of sales and sales management positions with Lifetime Television.

Karen Elders
Karen Elders
Karen has over 10 years of experience in advertising including roles on the agency and sales side.

She began her media career at A.B. Phillips & Co., a small traditional ad agency based in Boston. A.B. Phillips shifted its focus to the emerging point-of-purchase advertising space and created On-Site Media. Karen played a key role in helping launch this new business initiative and in bringing on Mercedes Benz as its initial launch partner. Karen spent the next three and a half years as Senior Event Planning Manager for ActMedia, Inc., overseeing national in-store promotions and couponing campaigns for top CPG clients including Unilever, Nestle, SC Johnson, Post, Clairol, Alberto Culver, Reckitt Benckiser and others.

Next, Karen moved to the sales side as a National Account Executive for CBS Outdoor/TDI, selling national billboard, transit and spectacular campaigns. She was awarded Rookie of the Year and was recognized as a top revenue producer and President’s Club winner for 3 consecutive years. Karen holds a BA degree from Boston College.
